How an online English Tutor is the best way to help your child

Don't waste your money on endless piles of revision guides. If you really want to give your son or daughter the best chance of success this summer, then an English Tutor is by far the best investment. Why? As an experienced Secondary School English teacher, one of the things I think about all the time is how much progress I could make with GCSE students if I could teach them in much smaller groups. Not only could I tailor the lessons to their individual strengths and weaknesses (without having to think about twenty-odd others in the classroom), but I would love to give instant feedback and advice in the moment. With the best will in the world, this is simply not possible in a class of 30 students. In a 1 hour lesson, the maximum time I can spend with each pupil is 2 minutes. It isn't enough time and it is something which school teachers battle with.

In our English lessons online, your child is taught by one of two extremely qualified English teachers who have been through the GCSE and A Level English Language and English Literature exams more times than we dare to count. We know what works and what doesn't. But more importantly, we know the tools your child needs when in the exams, writing their answers.

If you spend just one minute talking to your child about their upcoming GCSE English exams, I can guarantee that one of the following 5 questions or concerns will be a part of that conversation:

1.) I'm not sure how to revise for English Language.

2.) I think I know what happens in the texts for English Literature, but I'm not sure how to answer a question about them in the exams.

3.) There are so many texts to learn, I'm not sure how many quotes I need.

4.) I know I can get a high grade but I'm unclear about what the examiners are looking for.

5.) There is so much to learn, I don't know where to start. I can't seem to make the revision manageable.

Please let us help you and your child. We do have the answers to these questions and more. It isn't too late to make a difference in the summer 2025 exams. Please have a look at what we offer on brighterenglishonline.com.
